After our camping/fishing trip here last week, I think we'll leave the fishing gear home next time. Beautiful scenery and bird watching. Not sure why the DNR likes patrolling this lake so much.

Drive a couple of miles on a gravel road through the forest, and you?ll find this lake with about a dozen homes on it. It has good depth, is clean, and has very clear water. At 48 acres, is too small for high-speed water sports, but good for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. The public launch is very nice for a lake this size. Has a long dock, deep ramp, parking for several vehicles/trailers, fire pit, park benches, and a picnic table. There is no formal beach or designated swimming area, but enough frontage to swim if desired. Traffic is quiet and limited to pontoons and small fishing boats. According to the locals, fishing success varies greatly from year to year. The shores are lined with a variety of tall, mature coniferous and deciduous trees. Great colors in the fall. Overall, this lake is a secluded, quiet, and has a very relaxing northwoods feel.

We have a cabin on the lake. Quite disappointing what has happened over the last 5 years. A gradual decline in overall fish population each year. Bluegills and baitfish are nowhere to be found and it's hurting the population of everything else. Hoping for a bounce back!
