Wasn't that long ago this lake was a GREAT lake for quantity of skis, now the last 5 years the lake has been a breeding ground for pike. There are still good skis in the lake, but numbers seem to have dwindled. We once boated a tiger which was exciting. For walleyes, there are "some" in there, but it can be tricky to catch. It is best to practice C&R for these fish in hopes to make it a more abundant fish in the lake. Gills, bass and crappies can be caught in numbers as well as forage size perch. Best times of the year to fish are spring, fall and first ice. Good luck,

I fished Amnicon Lake today after not fishing it for about 5 years. The first time since I can't remember that I didn't at least see a Musky. None to be found on any of my former "hot spots". I have heard it's Musky fished harder now these days. I did catch about a 30 inch Northern. The first time for me to ever catch a Northerm in that lake. I have heard the Northerns are more prevalent than they have ever been.
