i grew up in marshall so all summer all i did was fish here
yes there are A LOT of carp here i never caught a catfish but did catch bullheads we also did decent on the largemouths
a favorite place for gills was the dam on hubble street on the bottom side of it next to the mill you could drop your line down and fish from the side of the mill there

Excellent bass, catfish, and panfish. Smaller but not much pressure. Take the kids fishing! Very relaxed atmosphere!
