Fished the Nekoosa stretch of river last two days with a gentleman from Florida!

Water temperature varies from 48-50 degrees

All out fish we caught last couple day’s were in 8-10 fow mud flats. Plastics out fished live bait, did catch a few on hair jigs tipped with large mud minnows. Anyone looking to book a trip is still have April-26th,28th,29th available.

Good luck be safe
Let’s go fishing!!

Caught this one yesterday with the same thing. A lot of walleyes here have this in cold water.

With all the chemicals and waste that used to get dumped in the river for decades, it's surprising the fish don't look a lot worse.

Hothead- that looks like Lymphocystis or Dermal Sarcoma. Generic term "cold water warts". I've cleaned and eaten numerous walleye without issue and others I know have also. I've seen a lot of growths and scars on fish but as long as the filets look normal I'm not worried. As always be sure to cook fish completely, don't want any parasites ;)

Caught a walleye with some white bumps on the body and around the gils. Any idea as to what that is.

What can I say about today except beautiful weather, great company, and fish!!!  it was a pleasure having Dave and Glen out again today on Pete and the river, they were not keeping any fish today, so we opted to try all different kinds of new things and places from the lake to the river, we caught a pile of white bass and some nice walleyes
Everything worked today minnows, blades, plastic. We didn’t stay long at any one spot even if we were catching fish we’d move to a different spot and try new things. Water temp seemed to stay around 44 degrees no matter where we went, we did get some females that are spawned out.

Crushed em today! About 150 fish combined between my day trip and night trip. During the day we boated about 25 legals and tonight we had another 15 or so. Also tied into some giant slots! They ate pretty much everything we threw today. Tonight was plastics and jerk baits. Water temp was 42-44 degrees. About half the females today were spawned out.

Thank You MCSB !!
You are absolutely right !
I never stated when the pictures were from.
The first picture of fish is from Saturday March 30th the second picture of fish is from Saturday April 6th after the rules went into affect.

If I had posted a picture of a 2 day possesion with a 3 or 4 person limit , I still would have been questioned.
