The channel is about 2-3 feet deep. I go through it with a 17 ft boat no problem. Also, the launch on gunlock is the only one unfortunately! Let me know how it goes, I haven’t fished this lake in several years!

How deep is the channel between shishebogama and gunlock lake? I have an 18’ procraft fish and ski and will be coming up next week and want to also know if there are any other boat launches besides the one on gunlock.

MOON PHASE (96%)
Waxing Gibbous
Pretty accurate description- walleye almost non existent, haven't fished musky too much, but some are in there, nothing too big. Mostly a bass/crappie lake. I used to fish it every year in summer, message me if you would like some info! All that being said, I love this lake and have had great memories fishing here!

Thank you so much!! We're staying in the west bay by the island. Hopefully the weather holds up and we keep the lines tight!

If you want to keep the kids busy, there are largemouth under almost every boat and pier. Especially in the east bay where you will find an old red boathouse that sticks out into the water. Fish that whole bay across from the trailer park with wacky rigged SENKOS. Throw it out, let it fall, close bale. Slowly take slack out of line and raise rod tip. If line moves side to side, lower rod tip and set hook. If not, throw it again. 99% of bites come on first drop.

Forget walleyes. Virtually non-existent. Crappies in the weeds near shore.

Muskies west bay of Shishebogama. Go through the narrow passage and start throwing.

Never caught much in other lake.

Hello,

heading up to this lake for vacation next week. We're looking to target all species (musky for me, everything else for the kids). Can anyone help me out as to where to find fish on the lake and any tactics this time of year?? Thanks!

Ice formation is occurring on Shish, but I don't know at what rate. The lakes I have been on are working normally, small lakes have shown me 3" - 5" so far. The biggest lake had 2" - 3" and no more. The best ice we were on showed us 8". Spud every where you go and you should be ok.
