45"-46", she was hard to measure with my crappy measuring tape setup. I need a nice one that rests on the floor. Am guessing 27-30 lb on weight, very fat fish. Jumped outta the water too, put up a great fight.

Here is an ice report for the madison chain, lake waubesa has 5-6 inches of solid clear ice with a bit of water on it, mud lake has up to 8 inches of ice and fishing has slowed down completely (safest ice on Madison chain) lake monona is wide open on the northeast half of the lake and squaw bay and turville have 3-4 inches of withering ice. However there was a dozen guys in squaw bay and 2 in turville this afternoon. Monona bay has 4 inches of withering ice and there was 8 guys on the entire bay today!! As always please be careful and if you do not feel safe. Do not venture out. Tight lines Everyone. Tate

Governor Nelson state park on the northwest side of mendota also has accessible piers which can be productive this time of year.

Blazerdog, depending on your mobility, Tenney is certainly an option.

I would also recommend the pier in the North Triangle, as well as the piers along John Nolen. See the attached photos for reference. The pier on John Nolen was not in at the time of the photo. Don't forget the Terrace wall, further up the road.

I am a disabled veteran and cannot use a boat. Can anyone suggest a spot near and around Dane/Walworth Counties where I can set up my chair along the bank and catch some nice sized suckers, carp, perch, or crappies. Particularly interesed in the sucker/carp-Thanks Tounge Out Would Tenny Park in Madison be a good bet????
