Devils Lake (Devils Lake State Park In Baraboo)

Planned on shooting videos on a bunch of sonar targets found over the last few years on June 5th. Water temp was 75.1°F and water clarity was terrible. Weather was perfect though, enjoyed the time on the water, especially the peace and quiet! Was able to identify some targets; some logs and brush, possibly an old wood boat in very bad condition,mabe an old steel wheeled wagon and a rod/reel. Shot some video of an old aluminum boat since I was close to it. Marked quite a few smaller schools of fish also. Will try again in another month, other divers have said mid-July the depths usually clear up better. If not will have to wait until late fall after turnover. 

Doing well this spring. Trout in 30+ ft and panfish in 7-10ft

The inland trout season ended yesterday, March 5, 2023. It is the trout regulations, which I would suggest anyone fishing for trout read.

When does the trout fishing close on Devils lake? I wanted to make another trip but wasn’t sure if you can still target them. Thanks 

Drove through Devils Lake on way to Baraboo today (3/3/23), saw a guy out from boat launch, another a ways out from south parking lot, and at least 4 or 5 all the way out by houses. Didn't see any atv's, looks like they all walked out. There was an area taped off where there is a little pocket of open water, I know that spot is always iffy, I think there is a spring there.

Any ice report?
