This used to be one of my favorites places to fish. Large bass population with some in the 5 to 7 pound range. Also, enough northerns to keep your attention peaked.
In the last 10 years or so the vegetation on the surface has made the water mostly unfishable.
I don't use bait and throw mostly surface lures like jitterbugs and spinner blade offerings. It's gotten impossible to get one of these to go more than a few feet before it's clogged with weeds. Too bad, this used to be some really great fishing.
