BLB ABUNDANCE DECLINED FROM 118.0 PER GILL NET LIFT IN 1975 TO 11.0, AND ARE NOW WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE FOR THIS CLASS. BLG ABUNDANCE HAS INCREASED FROM 26.0 PER TRAP NET LIFT IN 1975 TO 114.8, GREATLY EXCEEDING THE NORMAL RANGE. BLG RECRUITMENT APPEARS CONSISTENT AND GROWTH IS AVERAGE COMPARED TO STATEWIDE MEANS. LMB ABUNDANCE HAS DECLINED FROM 7.2 PER TRAP NET LIFT IN 1975 TO 0.6, AND IS NOW WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE. BLC, ABSENT FROM THE 1975 SURVEY, HAD A CATCH RATE OF 1.0 PER TRAP NET LIFT, WHICH IS BELOW THE NORMAL RANGE. BLC GROWTH RATES APPEAR AVERAGE. THE YEP CATCH RATE IN 1975 WAS 94.0 PER GILL NET LIFT. NO YEP WERE CAPTURED IN GILL NETS DURING THIS SURVEY. WAE ABUNDANCE DECLINED FROM 3.5 PER GILL NET LIFT IN 1975 TO 0.5, WHICH IS WELL BELOW THE NORMAL RANGE. AVERAGE WEIGHT OF INDIVIDUAL WAE DECLINED FROM 4.1 POUNDS IN 1975 TO 0.6 POUNDS. THE WAE SAMPLED IN THIS SURVEY ARE POSSIBLY THE RESULT OF LIMITED NATURAL REPRODUCTION AS NO STATE STOCKING HAS OCCURED SINCE 1948.
