The lake trout catch in the 1998 assessment was just within the normal range for lakes of this class, and was similar to past mid-summer catches in this lake. Jim Lake is a very marginal lake trout lake, and probably supports only a small number of fish. The lake also supports a high-density white sucker population, and high numbers of fathead minnow and dace.
