REPORTS FROM LOCAL ANGLER THAT AN OCCASSIONAL LARGEMOUTH BASS IS TAKEN.FIELD NOTES:LAKE STOCKING -1953 - LARGEMOUTH BASS - 88 FINGERLINGS.1955 - LARGEMOUTH BASS - 960 FINGERGLINGS, CRAPPIES - 56 ADULT, SUNFISH - 2 ADULT.SURVEY INDICATES NO NATURAL REPRODUCTION OCCURED FROM BASS OR CRAPPIES.PRESENT FISH POPULATION:THE BLACK BULLHEAD IS MOST ABUNDANT WITHIN A POPULATION. BROWN AND YELLOW BULLHEADS PRESENT IN LESSER NUMBERS. NORTHERN PIKE AND PUMPKINSEED ARE ABOVE STATE AVERAGE NET CATCHES. YELLOW PERCH ARE BELOW STATE AVERAGE. NORTHERN PIKE, BLACK BULLHEAD AND PUMPKINSEED WERE SMALL SIZED EITHER BECAUSE OF SLOW GROWTH OR A RECENT WINTER KILL.MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:REPRODUCTION OF NORTHERN PIKE IS SUFFICE AT PRESENT, NO NEED OF STOCKING.
