White Crappie - Fair: As of the last full week of April, crappie fishing was slow. With warm temperatures returning for the start of May, crappie fishing will be good. Catch crappies fishing live minnows or plastics near any rock, riprap or wood in 2 to 6 feet of water.

White Crappie - Fair: Catch crappies through September and October slowly trolling or drifting panfish plastics in arms off the mainlake. Some of these include the South Overlook arm, Campetine Creek arm and the Teter Creek arm.

Channel Catfish - Good: Anglers are reporting catching catfish throughout the lake, particularly around structure (rocks, submerged trees, etc.)

White Bass - Fair: Catch White Bass trolling shad imitating crankbaits and spoons.

Black Crappie - Fair: Catch crappies drifting or trolling plastics or small crankbaits in coves off the main lake and Whitebreast arm.

Channel Catfish - Good: Anglers are reporting catching catfish throughout the lake, particularly around structure (rocks, submerged trees, etc.)

White Bass - Fair: Catch White Bass trolling shad imitating crankbaits and spoons.

Bluegill are spawning in lakes and ponds throughout Central Iowa - anglers should target shorelines (2-6ft of water). Paddling anglers are also enjoying excellent river conditions right now. Some of these would include Teter Creek Arm, Campetine Creek Arm and the South Overlook Arm. As water warms over the next week fish near riprap and wood.
