Bluegill are spawning in lakes and ponds throughout Central Iowa - anglers should target shorelines (2-6ft of water). Paddling anglers are also enjoying excellent river conditions right now. Black Crappie - Fair: Catch crappies drifting or trolling plastics or small crankbaits in coves off the main lake and Whitebreast arm.
Channel Catfish - Good: Anglers are reporting catching catfish throughout the lake, particularly around structure (rocks, submerged trees, etc.)
White Bass - Fair: Catch White Bass trolling shad imitating crankbaits and spoons.
