At the time of this report ice conditions are beginning to deteriorate. With forecasted rain this weekend anglers need to use caution when venturing out. For information on lakes in Southwest Iowa call the Cold Springs office at (712) 769-2587.

Bluegill - Fair: Find a cedar tree pile on the fishing atlas and set up. The reports coming in are saying sorting for 8 inch fish will be necessary.

Littlefield has 9 inches of ice.

Black Crappie - Slow: A few 9 inch black crappie are being picked up around the tree piles.
