Ice thickness varies from 0 to 10 inches in the district. Conditions are difficult to see with the snow cover.

Ice thickness varies from 0 to 10 inches. Snow cover makes the variablility difficult to see. There is open water near the big island. Use caution and check ice often.

As of this report, ice thickness in the district ranges from 0 to 4 inches. With snow cover, the ice variability is difficult to see. Conditions on many lakes are considered unsafe at this time.

Ice conditions are variable. The variability is difficult to see with the recent snow cover. Ice fishing is not recommended yet.

Most lakes in the area are completely open. With temperatures falling, expect ice to slowly build but still be too thin to walk on throughout this coming week.

Storm Lake has been partially ice-covered. Any remaining ice is unsafe.

Shoreline fishing is limited due to skim ice on most area lakes. Any ice in the district is too thin to walk on. Some lakes may open up again with the forecasted warmer temperatures and rain.

Most of Storm Lake is covered with thin ice. Unsafe ice; too thin to walk on. Warmer weather and forecasted rain will only weaken existing ice.

Channel Catfish - Fair: Use cut bait or dip baits fished on the bottom near shore.

Water temperatures are in the mid 40's.

Yellow Bass - Fair: Most fish are 5- to 7-inches.

Walleye - Fair: Try fishing from shore during mornings or evenings.

White Bass - Fair:

Water temperatures are in the mid 50's in most area lakes. Shoreline fishing action should pick up as water temperatures drop throughout the week.

Water temperatures are in the mid 50's. All walleye between 19- and 25-inches must be immediately released unharmed at Storm Lake; and no more than one walleye longer than 25-inches can be taken per day.

Channel Catfish - Fair: Try cut bait or dip baits fished on the bottom near shore to target catfish. Most fish are 3-6 pounds.

Walleye - Fair: As water temperatures drop throughout the week, look for shore fishing action to pick up as fish increase feeding activity.

Yellow Bass - Fair: Most fish are 5- to 7-inches.

Yellow Perch - Slow:
