Weed Beds

Went out today from about 11 to 3 there was around 8' of ice. Cought about 9 or 10 gills all within about an hour of each other. And only 3 were good keeper size. Had what looked to be a good sized crappie up to the hole but came off. Tight lines everyone.

I went out to check ice conditions. There was a about 3 inches about 20 off shore and around 2 inches 30-35 feet would not recommend going out. The middle is still open water. Stay safe and tight lines.

No lake ice. Maybe a very fine layer. Hopefully this weekend will produce some fishable ice. Illinois has had none.
