Gorden More Lake

Would say an all around good lake. It has been restocked twice this year (2008) and there are ample fish. The fish that were restocked were hybrid bluegil and channel catfish. Personal experience has taught me that there are some other fish residing in these waters. There are other types of catfish including flathead. It takes some strong tackle to land them. There are also a few white crappie here and there, carp (a few that are huge) and of course small mouth and large mouth bass. I would have given the lake 5 stars, however due to people taking more than their creel/limit, and most fishing without a Illinois Fishing Licsense, others sneaking into the park after hours, and littering all around, the fishing has become somewhat less than ideal. Fishing is only permitted from dawn to dusk Fishing rules: 2 pole maximum, one line each, fish from bank only, and Licsense required for everyone 16-64. Cleaning up your mess should be common place. Fishing creel: 1 bass over 15 inches (none under 15) 6 channel cat 25 bluegill/sunfish Now keep in mind that the carp there are in fact grass carp and they keep the lake clean so leave them be. Crappie isn't mentioned but i would think that any fisherman knows the Illinois fishing regulations and would adhear to them as well.
