November 12, 2009. 17 1/2” inside spread, 184 lbs field dressed. Cold, frosty calm morning he came to investigate another buck that was grunting in return to the can call I was using. He got between me and the other buck and took interest in the can call, came to 12 yards turned broadside and the three blade muzzy put him on the ground in 60 yards.
This was Juneau County few miles SW of Necedah on public land.
2016 was unbelievable for our area and me and my brother got a picture that probably will never happen again because he has been 90% gun hunting his whole life with many 1 Day years on opening day and I live in the woods and have had a rough time on anything mature due to buck fever and lots of other mistakes especially when I was younger in the late 90’s so the chances of me and my brother doing this again are about slim to none but you never know maybe he will hunt more when he is older! I will until the day I die!! It’s only getting better and already had a couple good turkey hunts this year and seen a ton of deer and looking forward to this season! I’m already counting the days!! Not a fan of summer!!
