What does it cost these days to get a replica made?  How much per inch?

Let's say you caught a big female in the spring.  Do you just take the one mass measurement around biggest part of the belly, and then overall length, and then lots of pictures to get colors correct?

Artistic Angler out of Duluth MN has been in the replica business for 20 years.  His current rate is $17 an inch,  He has created Replicas for most of the Cabelas stores, and currently has an 8 month backlog.

Tipping the taxidermist? Not to derail the thread, but I have never heard of that before?

Most places are about $18 - $24 an inch.  So if you had 29" walleye, your looking at $522 - $696, not including the tip.

$16-25+ per inch.
