Mystery Tackle Box vs Lucky Tackle Box (Walleye Box Review)
There was another thread similar to this not long ago. I never tried the Lucky Tackle Box but got the Walleye Mystery TB for about 6 months. I never got a top water bait but did get some lures that I would consider to be more of a bass lure. I contacted them and got a similar response to what you got..."we encourage our customers to try different techniques". OK, fair enough. It did teach me to try suspended jerk baits over shallow humps and structure in summer.
I got some good lures and some head-scratchers in the 6 boxes I ordered. In the end, I discontinued after my 6 month trial because I realized that I probably wouldn't use a lot of what I received, partially because some of the lures were higher-end $15 crank baits. I guess I have trolled a few of those but would never pay that much for a replacement if I lost one (especially when you can buy Flicker Shads for $3 on sale). Now I just stash away the money I would have spent on the boxes and use it for lures that work for the areas I fish. When I find something that puts fish in the boat, I usually stick to it until it doesn't. But I understand some folks like to get a surprise in the mail once in a while.
