mayo area lakes

Ill be at mayos quite a bit in coming month. always wanted to fish your wonderful lakes farther north. but that would be just to much traveling for me. could someone point me to a lake close to mayo that I can ice fish 

What are you looking for-permanent shack rental?  Fish off a plowed road?  Walk in?  And how far you want to travel?  In the land of 10,000 lakes, tons of options.

Im open to all species  walleye crappie perch if you could point me to some good bays or area and what known for i can take it from there thank you 

I live just south of Rochester.  Mille Lacs is always fun for ice, if you want to really travel, LOTW.  Am planning a January trip to Leech.  What do you want to target?  How far are you willing to travel?  Mississippi near Winona is always fun too.
