Went to use the fish cleaning station at South Shore on Sunday morning and found the grinder not working. Seemed like no power to it or the switch was faulty. I thought they had repaired this???  Saw people had thrown their bones into the garbage cans. That is going to start to smell bad if that is the only option.

Well, yesterday evening the launch was in general a mess.  For me, the only two usable slots  were the left most ones.  The rest had massive quantities of sand and trash in front of them.  Still no power to the lighting.

Not a lot of positive things to say right now about how the county has managed this "upgrade".  We are at the end of July and it is still not finished with no end in sight.  Establishing electric to the site should have been one of the first things.

As a side note, the Milwaukee county website for boating says that you need a permit to launch at South Shore.

Stopped down today launch is open , but the booth is empty, no pay box any where and no signs that the mentioned anything about launch fees.   So is it free right now, at least 15 trucks and trailers there.

Stopped by today and it looks like the equipment should be removed by days end. Still quite a bit of sand in front of the launch. Appeared to be 6 - 10 inches deep. Concrete once you get through sand and in the water. Fish cleaning station was somewhat cleaned out. No county workers there during lunch.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was to be July 13th and it was to remain closed until after the South Shore Frolics. All this makes things rather difficult with the Air Show  going on downtown. Good Luck.
