What Did You Do Today?

Just wondering what every one does during the day and evening? Work? Play? Fish? Camping? Gardening? Smoking? You get the idea........ I work up early to put the venison jerky in the dehydrator and took the fiancé to work and then when I got home I made breakfast. I fixed the bath sink and took a nap. Then I sat around having a few beers waiting for the jerky to get done. Tried to read a book but that's not for me. Oh yea, I cut the lawn b4 the rain. I better save sum stuff 4 2maro. Just wondering what you guys do during the day and evening. Let's here it.

Went to sonny number ones home and helped him replace 250 feet of chain link fence.  First time for both of us,  came out well. 

Last week Went to the learning to adult house and had sonny number three help run 100 feet of black pipe for my neighbor and buddy for his grill and a stub for a future garage heater.The kid earned a few bucks but more importantly learned how to cut and thread pipe. Take a measurements in a fitting.  And above all not leave a leak. 
Both times it was and is a good tired for me.

Boy your bike is beautiful Poliski. Had a Honda  350 back in those days. My good friend had a KZ750 when they first came out. He was the only one I knew who had bikes from high school to now and never got a scratch.
We have our 50th (1974) reunion this year hope he shows up.

JB I owned a water front property like that once only much steeper. All I can say is the enthusiasm of youth is soon ambushed by the treachery of old age.

Well watched a little of the cubs game and fell asleep during it. no matter the cubs lost again. missed my usual dinner time so I guess i'll eat now after leaving the website. good night everyone.

Rebuilding stairs on a Waukesha County lake

Planted most of my garden. Cut the grass and sprayed for mosquitoes, they are really getting bad here.
Also put the battery in my old Kawasaki motorcycle, fired right up. It's a 1980, 44 years old  and I'm the original owner, Going to put it up for sale, all original and way too quick for this old guy.

I was up there this morning JJ.  I could've stopped over for a Shandy.  Caught a bunch of nice pike in a few hours of fishing.  Headed home so I could mow the grass while the sun was out and sure enough, wouldn't you know, a thunderstorm soaked the lawn 10 minutes before I got home.  Pic of a 28 incher from earlier today.

Now out to scout for turkeys.

I drove up to the cabin. I’m here now. Just popped a cold summer shandy. What was the saying on an old commercial, it doesn’t get any better than this.

Went fishing,  gills not on the beds yet. In the process of mowing the lawn then a shower before my dermatologist appointment at 5

Planted.  Now EKG , bloodwork and chest xray. 

Brought 50lbs of venison for processing to Maplewood meats from Nebraska muzzleloader hunt last December . Had 49lbs so was able to choose 5 items from long list of processed meats , came to $400 & will be well worth it as always .      🦌 

Last night was on a severe weather radio net for spotters with the high wind events we had.

Today walked a few miles doing damage assessment for the damage in Kaukauna.  Lots of trees down and couple of cars smashed. Houses did not do to bad but roofers will be cashing in for sure. 

I did the same thing to my tractor yesterday Polski. I have a hydraulic tractor jack that lifts under the front wheels and it makes it a breeze. 
I got out and cut grass today after picking up the sticks and small branches from the storm. All this rain and warm weather really has the grass looking good. I could almost cut twice a week if I wanted to.

Took the blades off my zero turn and sharpened them, also scraped the underside of the deck. I have a hoist in my pole building and use it to lift the whole front end on my mowers. Makes it a whole lot easier to scrape the deck and sharpen the blades. If you have one give it a try, works great.

Got some work done and then went out and cut the front yard
