Hello, everyone. This is James, AKA Nihsif son #3. I'm starting this thread to sadly inform everyone of the passing of my Father, Nihsif, AKA Bob/Backwards Bob.
He has been struggling with various health issues since last June. He was in and out of the hospital several times over the last few weeks.
This past Friday, he was admitted to Watertown Regional Medical Center with several issues, and despite the efforts of the staff there, he ended up passing late last night.
My brothers Bob, Joe, and I spent the day with him yesterday, and their wives and some close friends stopped by as well to say their goodbyes. Us 3 boys stayed until after 10pm, when I joked that he was too stubborn to let us watch him die.
We all said goodbye in our own way, and left with intentions of returning first thing in the morning. Sure enough, Bob (son #1) received the call before he even got home.
While we were expecting it at this point, we're all still in a bit of shock, and missing our Dad already.
This is a thread to honor Bob. Feel free to share a story about him if you knew him. He loved fishing, and he loved chatting with this group. Thank you to everyone who has been a friend to him on this forum!
