Trente Jones. Remember that name. He is going to open alot of eyes when camp rolls around.
That would be a bonus. Jennings looks like he could also be a decent PS type guy to develop. I believe the OL that will open eyes is Monk. Of course hope that Morgan looks like a solid investment. Should have some good OL competition in camp.

I’m excited about improvement on Offense and Defense. Still going to be tough competion, but Offense has proven themselves and will be dangerous. Defense might get a slower start, but think they will gel after 6 games vs 9 games like last year.
I already know the Offense will work. It’s the Defense that has to come to life. I’m stoked for season.

I was under the impression Walker did a pretty good job of improving his game. There may be different views on him though and I understand. I think they want a Cadillac at LT than a Chevy. I say the best man plays the spot. Can Morgan do a better job right away? I don’t know the answers, but I personally wouldn’t want Morgan to play guard being a 1st rounder.

Walker is definitely going to have every opportunity in the world to prove that he improved during the off-season and is capable of holding that LT job. If nothing else, his experience alone will give him an edge. Morgan would have to be significantly better than Walker to win that job...at least in the short term.

Agree Vegas he's skinny but he's over 6-1 and runs in the 4,2s i wanted him for pass coverage not run support taking on pulling guards

Will see where Morgan ends up playing. Have heard the same line from Gute/MLF/Steno etc that they want the 5 best guys on the field. Walker was still the better player (over Rhyan) at the end of the year and I expect him to put up a good fight to retain the LT position.
MLF and Steno are sure talking up Lloyd. They seem to have pretty big expectations for him in both the run/pass game. I am sure the staff will make his ball security issues a priority to address in camp/drills. Will see how he looks in preseason. Saw a short clip/video from Jason Vrable (Passing game coordinator) talking about Watson and his hamstring issues. Hope those specialists and change in training will get that issue resolved.

I don't know how Wiggins can play in the league. He's got a boy's build in a man's game. Kid looks like a bobble head out there he is so small in the hips, waist and legs.
No 5'th for Stokes isn't a surprise. If he plays well, we try to do a deal with him. If he plays really well, he plays his way out of GB and GB gets a comp pick. No big deal.
This is the team that won with both Valentine and Ballentine playing a lot of snaps last year.
While Bullard can play slot snaps easily. Very easily.
That King kid they took in the 7'th also has a real shot to make the team and contribute. He had great games in 2022 was mocked as a first round pick. 2023 was not kind to him at all, but there is talent there.
If this team can coach up guys like Valentine, Ballentine and even Nixon, no doubt they can coach up King.
Still, the overall point is a corner earlier than the 7'th would have been nice. I agree. Just not Wiggins.

I said this a couple months ago and I'll reiterate it again.....as fans we don't know how the coaching staff views the players on the team. But we will have a much clearer picture after the draft.
I think that has proven to be true. They aren't sold on Walker or Rhyan as starters.... so they draft Morgan who can play either position. They are very content with the young talent at CB. The safeties they brought in all offer the versatility to play nickel CB, which only adds to that depth. There just was no need to add to that position early. Same with the defensive line.
Since Gute has taken over he has shown a willingness to go all in on drafts to make areas of weakness into a strength through sheer numbers. WR last year, ILB and safety this year. CB his first year.
The point is, stop paying attention to what the talking heads have to say about our team. They are seldom right.
