Built my own greenhouse using my own tent frame. I have a 10x20 tent that I rent out. Was moving it around in the garage and thought why not use some of the small poles and make a greenhouse. Ended up 6.5x7. All I had to buy was the cover but found a 16 mil reinforced for about $30 and can expand it longer next year. Added a zipwall style zipper to come and go. Added a few 5 gallon buckets filled with water and they will help it stay warm. Ratchet straps to the buckets so the wind can't move it.
Been helping my disabled BIL finish his basement/man cave for over a year now. It's 100% Packers green and gold. Anyway, I've been building him a card/game table and built it in a football shape. I plan to make the center a checkers/chess board with tiles like the one I have. Will also fit six around for card games, it's 4' x 7'. Anyway, it's roughed out, more pics to come.
a while ago, the GFwas thinking about getting a wood mantle for her fireplace instead of a plain concrete block hanging on the wall, I said I think I could handle that !!!
it's amazing what you can do with some flat pine boards, a piece of floor shoe base and a piece of trim of some type....she loves it 😀

Mskyadk,45 years ago I saw my first wood strip canoe and swore I would build one some day. Eventually I discovered Royalex canoes then kevlar canoes then in 1999 I discovered roto molded kayaks that wont be destroyed in Class V rivers. Ive owned and sold about 25 kayaks since then. I even destroyed a few. Wood is beautiful but plastic is outright amazing.
I have built a few canoes like that. Always an ego stroker when you take them out because everyone comments on how awesome they look. Good work and a great project to under take. I found the fiber glassing day to be stressful. If you want another project after the canoe I built my daughter a wooded paddle board. They are fun to make.
