Leeches

Last July the place I buy leeches in Red Lake was out of them. We drive up 502 and then 105. Has anybody found reasonably priced leeches anywhere along our route? Thanks!

Most guys that trap leaches normally stop going after leeches at the end of June,if you are coming in July there is a good possibility there will be none to be had!

We bought leeches at Bobby's Corner in Vermilion Bay a 3 weeks ago. $65/lb, pretty good quality. Call ahead to reserve your order or you risk them being out when you get there. Good luck. DanM

There is a bait shop at the corner of 17 & 594. Not sure on price of leeches or if they have them. I know they have good price on minnows and they are good quality.

There was a very good bait shop in Dryden that carried leaches. Been a couple of years since I was there. It was when 502 ended and you turned west on 17 to 105. I think that you had to turn east at the end of 502. It was on the south side of the road.
