Bow hunting 2017 reports

I thought I would get one started! Countdown days- success-failure-sightings-- anything bow hunting related!! Bear season close and counting down the days to deer season!! Good luck in 2017!!! Casey

My son's first ever bow kill.  My son had been after this deer for two years. He wanted his first bow buck to be a nice one. He planted a food plot in our swamp and passed up a number of nice bucks last year and this year. During last years gun season he only carried his bow and could have shot a couple of nice bucks if he had used his gun. So this year we were happy to see his return. Sure enough he finally showed during shooting hours at 4 on fri. My son actually had a bigger bodied 6 come in but passed; then he heard antlers hitting branches and well he got the buck he was after and I am proud of his work, patience and persistence in getting his first bow kill. 

Congrats to everyone on the nice bucks. Saw a giant locked up with a doe yesterday in the middle of an alfalfa field at around 10 am. He wasn’t leaving her side. Bed down in the middle of the field, amazing how when they laid down u had to strain to spot them.

Heading out in the morning myself.... Have to move my daughter this weekend from just south of Green Bay to Chicago, so won't be out until Sunday.
