LOWE LAKE UNIT HUNTING?

Just wondering how everyone else did hunting in this unit this year or in past years? I didnt see a whole lot this year but a couple coyotes and some does.

Lowe Lake unit used to be good until the area posted all the signs for No parking. There are only 2 parking spot in the whole unit. To reach a decent spot to hang a stand is 1000 yards or more. The northern most part in inaccessible unless you are disabled or ask to park in one of the resident's driveway. I did see a nice buck there one time...it might have scored like 120ish.

Ken.... I live on 83 just south of Hartford and last year alone 11 deer were hit off of our property. Those are the ones i could count that were in the ditch. This year wasnt so bad but, I have to agree that deer are getting hit all the time on 83 and K

I suggest you stop in by OX and CATS. It is a bar restruant in Monches. They are a registration station that takes pictures of the bigger deer. You will be impressed at the size of the racks.

I don't hunt it, but I live next to it. There are too many cars now a days. One deer a week is killed along hwy K and a deer a week is killed along hwy 83. The same amount of deer are crossing but more cars equals more dead deer.
