Waterfowl Hunting
Arkansas

Looking for input on Outfitters in Arkansas. We are interested in hunting flooded timber or flooded fields in pit blinds. Wondering if anyone has ever leased a blind for 3 days or paid for a "do it yourself" hunt. We are open to hiring a guide atleast one day. Trying to keep some of the cost down. Don't have the vacation time to scout public areas so we thought this may be the route to go for a first time to Arkansas.
I have looked online and found plenty of outfitters, but would like to hear if anyone on here has some experiences they would like to share. If anyone has input on other states such as Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska or Louisiana feel free to comment as we are not dead set on Arkansas.
Gear and dogs are not an issue.
Thanks

I would also be interested in hear some good reviews of Arkansas guides. I have heard to many bad stories to even think about going down there blind(without some recommendations). My Dad and Brother have been considering it for a few years.
The biggest thing I have found is there are guides that guide on public land and guides that guide on private land. It sounded/seemed that the guides on public land were a little shady/not a good hunt as the folks on private land. At least that is what I concluded from reading lots of reviews and forum topics on the subject.
Have a buddy that has gone down to Arkansas the last two years. I am not sure what outfitter he used. But I do know they did mostly flooded rice hunts but did spend a day in the timber. He got 6 ducks in 5 days 2 yrs ago and last year the fields froze up and I think he only got 3 ducks. He also only did afternoon hunts because it was half price. I can also say he won't be back down there a third time.
