Underwater Cameras

I have heard that while fishing walleye the underwater cameras will effect the bite. Any thoughts on your past experience?

Fishing in Canada on a rainy day the bite seemed slow so I dropped my camera down by a rocky reef and big walleyes were swimming around. The fish were there but we had little luck whether the camera was down or not.

also agree with wade, have had minimal success fishing eyes with a camera. seem to come in to investigate, but are in no way looking to eat. stick to the flasher with the eyes. now perch on the other hand love the camera, i think it actually will bring them in sometimes, and they have no problem smacking a jig right next to the camera lens. i have also watched a northern trying to eat my buddies bluegill skinned camera housing on his aqua vu. pretty amazing thing to watch. didnt want anything to do with the manta ray of the marcum though.

I would agree. In my experience the camera has affected the bite in a negative way.
