I've fished with a lot of cool guys on this forum and have made some great friends, so I figured I'd try it for hunting, as well. My name is Scott and I'm 37 years old. I actually took hunter's safety for the first time last year. I've always been an outdoors guy... mainly musky fishing but have always wanted to take up hunting. None of my close buddies do any hunting at all.

I'm wondering if anyone out there would be willing to take a first time hunter like myself out in the field? I checked with the WI DNR and evidently, they don't have any sort of mentorship program like I'm referring to. I'm a member of the TC Rod & Gun Club in Greenville, WI and also a member of the NRA. Aside from the WI DNR's Hunter's Safety Education Program, I have also successfully taken and passed the Trapper's Education Program, as well. I'm also quite familiar with firearms safety and the responsibility that goes with it.

I'm essentially looking for a hunting partner mainly for small game since the small game season is nearly upon us (Squirrel, Rabbit, etc, etc.) Looking for someone ethical, safe and experienced willing to show me the ropes out in the field and help me out and get me started in the right direction. I currently reside in Oshkosh (Winnebago County) but am certainly willing to meet up, if you're willing to show me the ropes. Aside from having fun with the small game season, I figure it would be nice to be able to put a few in the freezer this season. I have all of my own gear to do a successful small game hunt... just need a safe, ethical, old-timer (haha) to help me out and show me the ropes!

Shoot me a PM if you're in the relative vicinity and headin' out into the field this season and wouldn't mind me taggin' along one morning or afternoon.
