Sheboygan Grouse - Kettles?

Anyone ever see grouse in the Kettle Moraine SP in Sheboygan Co? Manitowoc?

Been pheasant hunting the public land, and seeing (and shooting) a few. Have not seen a single rabbit in 5-6 trips out - is that normal?

The predators clean most of the rabbits & grouse up. Years ago it was more in vogue to control predators, now many are protected.

I hunt the island in the sheboygan marsh and have seen good numbers of grouse in the cedars. I also hunt land that is within a mile of the marsh and had a grouse walk right under my stand two weeks ago in a hardwood patch I hunt. they are there just very few

Me again, went squirrel hunting east of Kewaskum. Quite a few chippies but not a single squirrel. No deer tracks neither. Is this normal? yep.

I hunt around Kewaskum. I have seen a few grouse over the years and a few rabbits. There is very little in the Kettles as far as I can tell.
