Looking for some feedback. I am thinking about picking up a couple of Garmin 650 Rino units for grouse hunting this fall. The idea being that it will help keep track of the other guys I hunt with and will allow us to communicate and verify our locations so we don't lose each other in the woods. This unit says you can call using a two way radio function and also pinpoint the location of other hunters using the polling function. Having been "lost" plenty of times while chasing birds, I think this may save us a bunch of time and frustration over backtracking. Plus it makes for safer shooting by knowing exactly where each man is positioned. I have a 10 year old unit that was OK at the time but usually loses signal in the deep woods. Plus it has no two way or polling function. Does anyone have experience with these units? Worth the money?
