Bobwhite quail Reports

Seen a lone bobwhite in Brown county 2 years ago. Just wondering if anyone has seen them much lately. It might have been a released bird, but no game farms nearby.

I saw and shot a couple about 4 years ago in a strange place. Was in Marinette County near Thunder Mountain. Saw a flock of 8 or 10 or so on the side of a gravel road in the forest a couple miles from any open fields or farmland. Flushed them into the woods then went in after them and got a couple. I can't figure out how they wound up there. Used to see flocks in cornfields near my parents house in Brown County (in Howard) when I was a kid 30 years ago. That area is all houses now.

I saw a couple in Adams county about 15 years ago and I haven't seen any since.

I saw a couple quail a few years back on some public hunting grounds in dane county. I figure they were release birds but still kind of cool to see.
