i cant wait to get out trout fishing this year. i caught quit a few 16-19 inchers this year in columbia county. one 23.5 no camera that day. and one that i lost was pushing 25-26in would of been my biggest. o well no where it was and not many people fish there. and not many people use the right bait. i've been using a jig with maraboo hair hand tied that a friend gave me. now i dont catch as many as spinners or live bait but the ones i do catch are pretty nice. the small 12in or less stay away from this bait and allows the larger fish to hit it with out messing up my hole. i've only fished two streams with this. i really want to get out west towards richland center or futher this year. i hear there are some dandy's out there. any info would be great. i'll be willing to trade spots for nice trout. on spot is easy to fish and would be great early spot for fly fisherman or anyone who has trouble getting around. at least while the ground is still somewhat frozen and the weeds and bugs are non existance. thanks all very much

A handsome 24" male caught on Tuesday afternoon, only an hour of fishing. Caught on a #9 Panther Martin silver blade with yellow body with red spots. If you can believe this, next cast after this fish I hooked and landed a 21" female, same lure did not even re-tie. The 21" actually fought harder.

A nifty 23.5" male I landed back on May 30 with a half of a crawler and a #8 hook. The brute zipped downstream through a whole mess of downed branches and logs in the water. I was busy unwavering as fast as I could in a panic. Amazed that when I got my line back in order the fist was still hooked! I assumed he broke off but then when I reeled up the slack I felt the weight again! The fish went another round but this time I had him out in the open ready to finally go into the net head first.
