I was thinking I could use a coffe can on my Mr. Heater Cooker with some butter flavored crisco on the ice. Has anyone ever tried this? does a coffee can hold up to the heat? Does the heater cooker produce enough heat? Thanks in advance for any input. OZOB

If you want to fry em, why not just take a fry pan? Coffee can may be fine for boiling though, nuthin wrong with poached fish dipped in melted butter. Or, try small panny fillets = toss em in boiling water fer a couple minutes till cooked but firm yet (don't overcook em till they fall apart) then, toss em in ice water to chill. Dip em in shrimp sauce.

we always just take deepfry'r on the ice... oil cools down to where its easilly poured back into container and not a big deal... take fresh sliced potatoes also for fry'd wedges...

We have had our best fish-frying success by frying over heat, not ice. When you put the frying pan on ice, the temperature never gets up to the optimal minum temp of 350F.
