My Mom used to make beef tongue , but she is no longer with us. I know that she boiled the tongue and then peeled the skin off, sliced it an put it in a gravy with a few ginger snaps and some raisins. That's all I can remember. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

My Mom would cook it the same way , but then chilled it and sliced it up. My Dad and a sister would eat it as sandwiches. Not the rest of us though ( thought it was nasty) . Sweating
