My biggest was a fish that I estimated to be between 43 and 44 as it was considerably larger than a 41.5 I had measured earlier in the day. I've heard of some upper 40's pike caught in WI in recent years but they are hard to come by. You can definitely up your odds by fishing a system with either a large size limit or one that doesn't receive much (if any) ice fishing pressure, ideally both. Here's a few recent catches from southern WI (all released).

What's longest pike ever heard of or caught? I caught a 41" on Mississippi River near LaCrosse and I caught a 44" in Boundary Waters, Minnesota

My buddy has hammered northern this year, hes at 60+ (all cpr'ed) out of same small lake. Its been a slow year for me, ive probably only caught 15 northerns, the biggest being 30"..but i managed to hook this bugger up last week. 37" not sure of the weight because we didnt have a scale but id say atleast 15lbs or more, seemed like i was holding two gallons of milk Smile ...Id love to see this fish in the winter when it packs on some more weight!!!! By far the biggest fish out of this body of water.

This bass wasnt to shabby either ( i know its a pike thread) 20" and yet again not sure of the weight...
