Need to spool with new braid this year and love power pro. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the new super 8 slick? Is it a better option for musky applications? I normally throw 80 or 100lb. Thanks for any information!

I agree with the others mentioned below. I was loyal to Power Pro up until a couple seasons ago. I switched to stealth and have been very happy with the performance. To me it seemed like Power Pro had a long break-in period. Lots of dust in the eyelets, shorter casts, snap offs, crummy backlashes. I was convinced to make the switch by some Joe Schmo sales associate at Gander Mountain. He saw me buying a couple baits and looking at new Power Pro line... Walked up and gave me his 2 cents comparing Power Pro to the cheaper Stealth. He was convincing. Made the switch that day, and won't be going back to Power Pro. In my opinion the Stealth out performs and is a good value.

I will tell you that I'm not a fan of PP. Its seems that when I get a backlash, more times than not i have to get out the line poick. I use either Cortland or Cabela's Ripcord Si.

I also prefer the 832. I was using powerpro but was having problems with snap offs on the cast. Havent had the same problem with the 832. As far as the comments about the line soaking up water, I always spray my line with reel magic. It tends to make the line a bit more supple and thus, I get farther casting distances. Never really had a problem with line soaking up water but im sure the reel magic would help solve that problem too. 832 is a bit more expensive but it makes up for having to replace baits that ive lost in the lake from snap offs.

Spiderwire Stealth or Suffix 832. Stealth is much cheaper that 832 and works just as good IMHO.

IMHO there are so many better options that Power Pro to use. PP is a wax coated line that soaks up water line a sponge, plus it's stiff.

I prefer the Super Slick over the regular stuff. It seems to hold a little less water and cast further. The only drawback is that the backlashes tend to be worse.
