New Muskie Boat

I am trying to determine what new boat I should get. My primary target is Muskie on Bigger waters (Greenbay and LOTW). I am currently running a 17 ft Lund with a 90 and to be honest it has been a great boat it is just getting old so I want to upgrade and I really don't need or want to go much bigger. I would prefer a glass boat however I am having a really hard time finding a glass boat that is set up for muskie fishing. The conventional bass boats will not work well on the waters I fish. The really nice thing about the aluminum manufactures (Lund, Crestliner, and Alumicraft) is that they offer a boat with a nice side shelf on the Port side to lay rods and have a nice large back casting deck. I have not been able to find a glass boat laid out like this. The old Ranger 618 and 680 were close but no longer made and used ones are hard to find. The storeage on this boat does not meet my needs either. No body seems to offer 9 foot rod storeage but everyone offers 2 livewells that many of us never use??? I also should mention that the Ranger 619 & 620 are out of my budget both from an initial cost, insurance, and gas stand point. I have looked hard but maybe I have missed something, feedback appreciated. Thanks

I am seriously looking for a glass boat also and am awaiting feedback on the Recon 785 and 985 models. These models come standard with a 12 rod locker for rods 8 1/2' to 9' and the live well is 52"(muskie sized). They look to me like one of the best designed layouts out there and reasonably priced. I was just attempting to hear from a someone that owns one of these boats. Check out the boats and motors forum key word Recon or try ReconBoats.com. Dull

My old man bought a Crestliner Fishhawk. 1750 in 2011. Has a 115hp on the back. I love fishing out of it front or back. Only thing I would change is moving the front seat post back about a foot. I think my 8.5 foot rods fit in the side rod storage...don't remember for sure though.
