Leech Lake is one of those lakes that you can catch a fish just about any way you want to. In July, Rocks and Cabbage hold most of the Walleye. Jigging with minnows and leeches certainly will work. Because of fish spreading out, I like to pull spinners on the rocks and cast plastics to weeds this time of the year. Just allows you to cover more water and contact more fish.

The bite is VERY good with any wind and or clouds. With the late Spring this year, I would bet that the bite will be real good through mid July. Typically you can catch fish just about every way possible that time of the year. Jigs in the weeds, Spinners on the rocks, rigging with bait on windward sides of structures will be good too. Too many options, but yes, its very good!
