Any one scouting in Boone County?

Hunted Shabby this last weekend, Windy, and hunting public seems thier is always a guy teaching his son something; which is great but not thirty yards from the stand, Did see two does and a fawn, No bucks yet, Still waiting for the rut to kick in.

Deer are moving in Northern Illinois.

Hanging stands this weekend man that wind storm we had in lake county really changed the woods and the way deer move,far as used trails.Seeing some good sign and putting camera out tomorrow.Getting pumped..

i live in boone and havent seen much action. i hunted last sat. out at rockton bog and had a nice chance at an 8 pointer but no luck. i hunt mostly mchenry county and got 2 does so far for the year. i have a really nice 10 pointer hangin around with a body built like a moose just havent been able to get him in close enough. hoping he makes it through gun season and i get a chance at him next week. from everything ive heard and seen the rut should be in full swing and peak some time next week. good luck and straight shootin! lovin my rage 2 blades!

I was kind'a think'n the same thing as far as no one bow hunts IL! I'm set up along a fence line bordering woods, bean fields, and apple trees. I have a buck in the SE corner of the fence line tearing up quit a bit of smaller trees but have yet to see him. During the next couple of weeks I will be spending alot more time out there in the stand. Good luck Nitro.

No one bow hunts IL the rut is on hunted Carroll co 6th 7th the big one stayed just out of rang seen around 40 deer from stand good time

Thanks for the report and lets keep the info coming!!!! Due to the warm weather I am going to limit my hunts to the a.m. hours. I did notice a new scrape while walking back from the blind the scrape was on a small tree in the tree line of the property.I think we maybe two weeks away from rut.!!! Straight shooting to all.

Had one spike buck walk under my stand at last light on opening day. His spikes were (no kidding) about 12-13" long. Hoping the other guys hunting this property will pass on him too, but I know they will not from past experiences. Only deer seen all weekend while in the woods. Gonna hunt tonight and then take a week off while the warmer temps are hanging around. Good luck!

Checked today, found 3 new scrapes. 2 on field edges and 1 in the timber. After an extended lull, its good to see the bucks getting more active. Found this guy on my trail cam. He has some nice "junk" on his right side

I was out last night and nothing came thru my area. Anyone else having any luck?

Found one scrape today when doing some last minute scouting but no rubs yet.Need some rain to see tracks a little better but temps look good this weekend.
