Call the manufacturer and give them the serial number. I have a S&W .38 and look as much as ever could not find the model number on it. Called S&W and gave them the serial number and found out it has no model number. Built on a M&P frame before model numbers came about and was manufactured in 1946.

I learned one thing about internet dating - I need to see a picture. If you want me to take your gun on a date show me what she looks like!
Seriously though you haven't provided enough information. What model is your gun, what gauge, etc. And a picture would help if you don't know the exact model.

Maybe you can find it here?
The serial number guide on their website is a good reference. Just in last two weeks I looked up my Hi-Power serial number and it was not on there. I called Browning and spoke to their "historian" and gave him my numbers to find the age. He said that the website is only a guide and if your number does not come up just call them and they will find it for you. All I did was leave a message with him that included my s/n and he called me back in about 15 minutes.
