Thinking about buying one of these. What are your thoughts? this seems to be available where the MP22 is hard to get. Thanks for your input, tr

Very nice gun....best to stay away from the lead bullet though. You can put some neat grips on it also. Like it very much for a z1911 style 22 cal gun. You will like it.

I have two GSG 1911's. They are similar in weight when loaded to a regular 1911. I have had them for a couple years. They both have over 5,000 rounds through them. Only issue was a broken barrel bushing. Called the company and they got one right out to me, no questions asked, no charge. Each pistol took 10-20 rounds to "break in". I have recommended them to several friends. Good luck.

While I haven't shot either pistol, I've handled dozens of each, and both are nice enough. 22 pistols, IMO. One of the guys I work with has the GSG (Sig version), and he's very happy with his. Availability of the M&P-22 may be a bit more limited, but they're definitely out there, I've sold a couple within the past week. Ask yourself what exactly you're looking tor in a .22, do you like the 1911-style form factor & grip, or might the feel/grip of the M&P-22 more closely match an existing centerfire pistol you own? If accuracy is your foremost concern, you could also consider a bull-barreled Mark III or Buckmark, too.
