Looking for some tips on trolling after dark for salmon/trout. I am mostly wondering if the fish are in the same depths that you would find them in during the day or if they come closer to shore?

I've found them to be at the same depth of water at night but generally high in the water column. My advice it to keep your set simple because things can get hectic real fast in the dark.
