For the past 5 years I've suffered from the effects of tick bites but not how you'd normally think. After stumping several doctors and an allergist or two, I found a group of folks who have developed severe allergic reactions to red meat. All have been bitten by ticks or chiggers. Here's the weird part...it's a delayed reaction sometimes 6-8 hours later so it's been dificult to determine what caused my reaction. I originally thought spices, MSG, something but the hive attacks were horrible and have become more severe. From the article I found.....after eating meat, mostly beef, pork, lamb, even venison, "the body triggers the production of an antibody that binds to a sugar present on meat called alpha-galactosidase, also known as alpha-gal. When a person who has the antibody eats meat, it triggers the release of histamine, which causes the allergic symptoms: hives, itching and, in the worst case, anaphylaxis."
From experience, I've had to use an Epipen several times, but now this info confirms at least for me...no more meat. Here's a link...it's called mammalian meat allergy.

So moral of the story is be super careful out there hunting and gathering. It could kill you.
Burning them out is one of the worst things you could do anyways. They will regergitate back into your body.... this guy also see's wild hogs in adams county and around Plainfield and also saw bigfoot.... maybe the gasoline dunk would clean the gene pool?
Let me get this strait farmboy..... you get one in your hair, they burrow in your head then you take a match to them...huh. If you dunk your head in gasoline then light the match you can get them all at once. Just kidding please don't try this, but if you do I want to be the first one you send pics to. Thanks in advance
