Got a bag of catfish. yes we eat them in IL, anyone ever pickle them! Smile Big Smile Cool Wink will probably give them a try.

My friend brines, then smokes them. They taste great smoked!

My oldest son had the same question and gave it a try with a 20lb. flathead. Had great taste but you could chew on a single piece all day. Pickled catfish for some reason comes out tough.

My mantra is that the only thing that should be pickled is pickels! LOL!

never tried it. Pickled pike is good. I smoke catfish or fry em.

I have never had pickled catfish, But i did can a bunch of flathead catfish and that turned out good. Wink
