Garmin GPS

I have a handheld Garmin GPS that I mainly use for hunting. I was looking at buying the lake maps that Garmin offers seeing that those are the only ones that are compatible with my unit. Has anyone had any experience with these maps? Is the detail decent?

I have a Garmin Astro - it takes the micro SD cards - I have several cards loaded with different mapping info. For bear hunting I use the card with better topo info.
For ice fishing and boat fishing I put my Lakemaster card in. It has contour differentiation for most all of the lakes I fish on. No depth info on rivers, but it does show all the channel buoys. The Lakemaster has a fair amount of road information on it too. When I get a fish I can enter the waypoint with a quick press of 2 buttons (Mark, Enter, Enter), and the tracking information lets me see where I've trolled.
It has worked well for my purposes - they make a suction cup mount, and a fixed mount you can purchase from Ram. Downside of the hand held is the tiny screen. Battery life has been good with the 2 AAs. I can use it for many trips before needing to replace them.
