trout question

so i was fishing under the mill pond in the embarrass river and i caught this trout without knowing? what kind of trout is it.

Its a brown.

It is a brown most likely. Look at the light body with dark spots. Brooks have more of a dark body with lighter spots. Rainbows also have light bodies with dark spots, however, they often have a pretty pinkish blue hue as well.

The picture isnt the best but i would guess that is a brown with no white on the fins.
