Seeing as though this topic is in the crapper, I'll add that "Big" Troy and "Big" Shane should stock up on some Johnsonville "Chicken and Pork" brats.

So do the cheeks count against your daily limit? 10 cheeks per day?

"I believe that this thread was started for the sole purpose of trying to irritate us mushy fisherman." Um, yeah. I think the sarcasm is pretty thick especially at the beginning of the thread.

Muskytroller, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Mercury is way too heavy to come to the top, you have to use one of those sucky-bulb things to get it off the bottom of the pot. I'll take all the mercury you can collect - I've got a buddy who is a Scoutmaster, and he wants to have the kids make thermometers.

Boil in saltwater for 45 minutes. Wait for mercury and PCB's to float to the top. Skim off mercury/PCB's with spatula. It is grey in color, easy to spot. Serve with butter and pepper. Caution: Only 40 percent of mercury will float. 10 percent of PCB's. Bon Appetite!!!

I believe that this thread was started for the sole purpose of trying to irritate us mushy fisherman. As the 50" limit I like the idea of raising the limit in most of the state but there are lakes that will never grow a 50" fish regardless of how muh C&R there is.

" Many lakes are over populated with musky " No many lakes are not overpopulated with muskie. Some are but many are not. If the lake has a population of large and small muskies, they will eat themselves and overpopulation will not occur.

A 50 inch size limit State wide? What a joke! Many lakes are over populated with musky and putting a 50 inch size limit on them will only lead to stunted fish. I eat 2 or 3 musky a year and take them from a lake that has a 28 inch size limit, need to remove them to let the others grow. What about walleye? Seems there numbers are down, maybe we should put a State wide size limit of 30 inches on them! People, fish and game are on this planet for us to enjoy. If you want to put them back, fine. If you want to eat them, fine.

A musky is way too precious to eat. Chunk it up, blend it into a slurry and pour it in with your tomato plants when planting. Great fertilizer, I use it all the time.

Alum170 who is to decide what fish are beautiful or not? Why is it better for a fish to end up being a decoration on some dorks wall rather than food for someones family?

This is why Wisconsin needs to copy the one good thing the Minnesota dnr has done and put a 50" minimum on muskies. Put a stop to it being legal to kill a beautiful fish for the most part.

Hey might just have to give those recipes a "whirl" this year. Although, they pale in comparison to a nice fat stack of walleye's......yummy time to hit up Delevan. Tounge Out
